Hmmm to tell you the truth, one of my dreams apart from travelling this beautiful world is to learn how to fly, yes thats right, an aeroplane, i have already put that dream at the back of my mind but my dad just talked to me out of the blue that he has this colleague who is taking his exam for the theory part of the course in aviation in being a solo pilot, he said that he will support us through the course if we want to. And yes, he will join me and my brother in flying if we are both going to learn.
Apparently its much cheaper learning how to fly in Australia, and what more to look for when its right at my doorstep - Archerfield Airport according to the website, its 15 minutes away from Brisbane ity itself. The courses are offered from the Airline Academy of Australia (AAA) through the Royal Queensland Aero Club (RQAC), so should be worth the time and effort!
Still at the stage of enquiring at the moment, but financial support which is the most important is ticked, it takes around 12 to 18 months to finish the course and get a license so till than lets see whether i can have an license for cars and planes huh :p
My dad just told me something that i thought was quite touching, he told me that since he cannot fulfill that dream of contructing planes, this explains why he got into Engineering, he will fulfill his dream by seeing us fulfill it since we are his dream.
This is the Cessna 172 that i will be training in when you first learn how to fly, lovely aint it!
Is this is why i always loved wearing aviators, well nows the time, how can they miss this adventure of a lifetime with me? Big SMilez! Wish me luck flying to the moon...........
